Project 365: Day 66 “Bittersweet Lunch”


Making the escape for lunch from a busy workday for a coworker’s going away lunch we head to Umami Burger in Hermosa. One of our favorite, we’ll-drive-out-of-the-way-because-it’s-worth-it lunch spots.

We order the cheesy tots, smushed potatoes and truffle fries to start. I decided to get the vegetarian Earth burger over the Baja burger just to try something new. It’s made out of a mushroom and endamame patty and topped with white soy aioli, truffle ricotta, ciopollini onions, lettuce and slow-roasted tomatoes. Delicious meal saying goodbye to a coworker and friend. Bittersweet.
