Valentine’s Day. There was a phase in my life that I didn’t believe in such a fabricated holiday. The obligatory show of affection, the alienation of single people, the unavoidable in-your-face pink and red hearts every where. Puke.
And even when I was in a relationship, it always caused more harm than good.
But, now I’ve embraced it. It’s a reason for me to show my loved ones that I care about them. And any excuse for me to do so the better I enjoy it.
Lessons I’ve learned the past year or so is that life IS really short and there is no promise of tomorrow. We have right now. So don’t waste it. Make every single moment count. Everyday. And let those around you know that you love them.
