Project 365: Day 35 “Vision Boarding”

The theme for our Breakfast at Tiffany’s meeting today was Chinese New Year’s. We served dim sum, fried rice, Chinese cabbage salad, coconut cake and plenty of sweets galore.

The focus of today was vision boarding our goals for the year. I haven’t done vision boarding since junior high and I didn’t really know what to expect. Arts and crafts as an adult? Sure.

We spent all day eating, chatting and cutting and pasting what we wanted to include in our Feng Shui diagram of a vision board. Hours passed and we completely lost ourselves in crafting our expectations for our lives on a little cork board.

It’s been awhile since I’ve turned off technology and just used my hands to craft something. It was an amazingly refreshing feeling. At the end of the night we each walked away with goals for ourselves pasted on our little boards and we felt accomplished.

The corkboard squares we got at Target. Super neat. It’s actually a really fun and cathartic exercise. I haven’t crafted in forever!
