Follow-up with Dr. Solsky at 1pm. She examined me and said I looked a lot better than the last visit I paid her about two weeks ago. We took some more blood tests and went over Dr. Hopkins’ findings and talked about the next steps. Since my second set of chest CT scans came back with similar adenopathy, Dr. Solsky wanted me to get a lymph node biopsy so that we could rule out lymphoma. Cancer?! It was precautionary but the word is never easy to hear in any context. Dr. Solsky called Dr. Cohen, a surgical oncologist at Cedars-Sinai to see if he could see me. I scheduled an appointment a week from today. This journey seems to get longer and the road a little bit bumpier than what originally thought.
